About Our Sauna

.

Acadiana Center For Natural Health  (ACNH) utilizes the technology of far infrared waves offered by High Tech Health International.  High Tech Health International saunas are designed for detoxification and come highly recommended by leaders in the health industry such as Dr. Ben Lynch (mthfr.net).

Far infrared saunas are unique in that the energy is absorbed into the body up to a depth of 1 ½ inches.  By being able to penetrate into the body, it is able to mobilize toxins that other forms of detoxification cannot reach.

ACNH  sauna uses poplar wood which does not outgas any chemicals or have any objectionable odors making it ideal for individuals addressing health problems related to chemical sensitivities.  The doors are made with safe tempered glass rather than plastic and water-based glue which does not emit harmful chemicals or odors.

High Tech Health International saunas utilize Bio-Resonance heaters with controls to provide the optimal level of far infrared exposure.  These heaters are located throughout the cabin to provide complete coverage while inside the enclosure.

Why Should I Consider Sauna Therapy?

Sweating is good for you!  Sweating is one of the safest and most natural ways for your body to heal itself and maintain good health.

The United States Center for Disease Control estimates that the root causes of more than 80% of all illnesses are found in personal environments or lifestyles. In other words, the world around you can make you sick. It’s in the air we breathe, the products we choose to clean our homes with, the products we choose to bathe in,  and in the food we eat. While we can reduce exposure, there are still areas in our daily lives that we have zero control over. Ridding your body of these accumulated toxins through sweating is a good first step towards achieving improved vitality.

Why Our Sauna and not a SPA or Gym Sauna?

Acadiana Center For Natural Health  has invested in a sauna that has been specifically designed for detoxification.  Our sauna is constructed with non-allergenic wood and strict chemical/toxin free guidelines. When you step into our sauna, you will not be entering a toxin zone. Most spa and/or gym saunas are designed with inferior wood and paint and do not guarantee a chemical free sauna experience.  Individuals with severe environmentally related health concerns should ask if the sauna they are using is chemical free before they agree to enter it.

The Impact of Toxins on Your Weight

  • Repeated daily exposure to toxins from food and our environment eventually build up in excess inside our body, even more so if we are not doing anything to support the removal of these toxins such as exercising and eating healthy.

  • Many Toxins LOVE FAT!

  • These specific toxins are called Lipo-philic toxins which means “fat loving”.

  • When toxins are present, the endocrine system that regulates body metabolism can adjust to keep more fat on your body.

  • By sweating, you are promoting the removal of heavy metals, plastic and pesticides, which has been found to help many who could not easily lose weight begin to see weight loss.

How long will it take me to see results with Sauna Therapy?

There is no magic answer to this question.  It truly depends on what else are you doing to promote weight loss.  If you are working with a health practitioner like Liz to support other health challenges with proper nutrition and are able to include daily exercise, the results will more than likely be seen quicker.

Maximum results are seen in clients who commit to a minimum of three sauna sessions a week for an extended time frame of at least a month or two.

Sauna and Lyme Disease

Someone with Lyme Disease knows all too well the muscle pain, the fatigue, the bouts of chills, the mental fog and more. Regular use of a Far-Infrared Sauna has been shown to help patients heal, cope, and manage their symptoms.
